Trina Wyatt

Over her career Trina has consistently championed independent film.  From launching the Tribeca Film Festival to re-branding Film Independent, Trina has worked to get independent films made and seen.

In May of 2008 Trina joined Intrepid Pictures, a feature film production and co-financing company sharing a non-exclusive first-look deal with Universal Pictures.  Intrepid’s mandate is to produce projects in the thriller, action, horror and teen comedy genres.  Its most recent release was the break-out hit, The Strangers, starring Live Tyler and Scott Speedman.

Prior to Intrepid, as the COO/CFO of  Withoutabox, Trina successfully helped sell the company to IMDb, a division of Amazon.  Trina also consulted for several film and content distribution companies, including Parallel Entertainment, Inferno Distribution and Gaiam. 

At Film Independent, Trina worked on the restructure and re-branding of the organization, negotiated a multi-year broadcast deal for the Independent Spirit Awards, and helped grow the Los Angeles Film Festival.

As COO/CFO of Tribeca Entertainment for over six years, Trina developed and launched the first Tribeca Film Festival, serving as Executive Director.  Also while at Tribeca, Trina Chaired the FIRST LOOK Film Series and initiated the FIRST LOOK Finishing Fund.  Trina also oversaw Tribeca’s new media initiatives and produced the new media conference, Converge at Tribeca. 

Prior to moving to New York City, Trina was Director of Financial Reporting at Turner Pictures Worldwide in Los Angeles, (Turner Pictures, Turner Feature Animation, and TNT Originals).  Before Turner, Trina worked as Assistant Controller at Carolco Pictures. 

Trina’s producing credits include Chutney Popcorn, Grenade, and I Shot a Man in Vegas

Trina received an MBA from NYU and an undergraduate degree in Economics from UCLA. 

Currently, Trina lives in Santa Monica with her husband and daugther.  She grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii.
