Canon Intensive
10:00am - 12:00pm

In this two-hour interactive Intensive, Canon will show the film “When You Find Me” in 2K featuring director Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help, The Twilight Saga – Eclipse). This will be the inaugural screening of the 25-minute short for the general public. Immediately following the screening, the film’s cinematographer, Andre Lascaris who just finished a substantial article for American Cinematographer, will talk to Canon’s Advisor, PE&S, Film & Television Production, Tim Smith, who is an associate member of the ASC.

During the second hour of this engaging Intensive, cinematographer, Bruce Dorn will show a five-minute piece he created using the C300 entitled “Playing with Fire”. This was shot with 100% ambient street light and fire. In addition to the short, Bruce will show a brief “behind the scenes” piece, which will help segue into his hands-on demo discussing rigging, buttons and looks of the C300.

AJA Intensive - Flying High: Taking File-Based Workflows into the Air with AJA
spnsAJAsm4:30pm - 6:30pm
Shooting from an aerial platform brings a new perspective to any production. But it creates a special set of challenges and constraints as well. Flight time is expensive and the clock is always ticking. Tony Cacciarelli, AJA's Product Marketing Manager, will showcase several ways AJA products have been used to solve these challenges and open up new opportunities and efficiencies. Whether covering the assembly of a new electrical transmission line or following German rock climbers up a sheer mountain wall, aerial photography is relying on AJA to get the shot.

Tony will cover a range of AJA products, from the Ki Pro line to the new Io XT with Thunderbolt connectivity, and reveal how aerial photographers are pushing these devices beyond the typical configurations. Put your seat back in the upright position and hold on - things could get bumpy!
