Dimitris Athos, 3D Stereoscopic Producer, UVPHACTORY Dimitris Athos is the 3D Stereoscopic Producer at UVPHACTORY, an award-winning motion design, visual effects and production company known for its creative work for film, television, music videos and art installations, and its recently launched division UVPH 3D. UVPH designed and directed “Drown in the Now,” a 3D stereoscopic music video for The Crystal Method, as well as the post-production for “Wanderlust,” a 3D music video for Björk. In spring 2010, UVPH 3D produced the first 3D runway fashion show in the U.S. for New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Dimitris has worked as a producer and co-writer on more than 30 short and independent feature films. He is a member of the National Stereoscopic Association and the New York Stereoscopic Society and also serves as program director for Be FILM, the Underground Film Festival. Be FILM debuts and showcases award-winning short films from around the globe with several films garnering Academy Award nominations® and/or Academy Awards®. It is also the first established film festival to feature a Stereo 3D category. |

Alex Buono, DP For the past nine seasons, Alex Buono has been the director of photography for Saturday Night Live, for which he recently used one of Canon’s EOS HDSLR cameras to shoot the opening montage. In 2003, Alex received an Oscar nomination for his work on the short film “Johnny Flynton”, which he produced and photographed. In the past, he has also worked on the camera crews for films such as Twister, Conspiracy Theory and Armageddon. Christopher Crescitelli, HELLO! 3D Creative Director and founder of The Dream Factory & 3DFF Christopher Crescitelli has been a career freelance creative artist, writer, producer, and director for almost two decades. In 2004, Christopher founded The Dream Factory Studio, a creative development and production company that specializes in stereoscopic 3-D animation and live action acquisition. His creative collaborations cover the spectrum of artistic expression from film, television, and theatrical projects to newly emerging 3-D entertainment technologies and live event marketing ventures. With more than 100 hours of 2D/3D feature film and television content to his producing credit he has a proven track record for the execution of high quality content in all forms of media. Over the years Christopher has been fortunate enough to have worked with such companies as Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures & Theme Parks, Warner Brothers, ABC, CBS, NBC, USA Networks, Miramax, Walt Disney Pictures, IMAX, Lego, Jim Henson Pictures and Spelling Television. In 2008, Christopher founded the 3-D Film & Interactive Festival (3DFF), which is celebrated as the first digital 3-D film festival in the world to feature an entire program comprised of stereoscopic 3-D motion picture and interactive content. Christopher has worked with most major 3-D technology and content creation companies including: RealD, DLP, Mitsubishi, Dell, Nvidia, JVC, 3ality Digital, Paradise FX, Dell, NHK Enterprises America, 20th Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company, Focus Features, Samsung, Deluxe Labs, Nagravision, DDD, TDVision Systems, XpanD, FotoKem, IQ3D, Kerner, PassmoreLab, In-Three, Hyundai IT, and many others. Christopher’s 3-D work has been featured at more than 100 film festivals around the globe including Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, Toronto, Palm Springs International, Fantastic Fest, and the Berlin Film Festival to name just a few. Richard Friedlander, Visual Effects Producer Passionate about filmmaking from an early age, Richard attended New York University's film school in the 1980's. Landing his first feature position on the film, Harry and Son, Directed by and starring Paul Newman, Richard assisted this legendary great in the editing room, as well as the kitchen, where he had the distinction of preparing Paulʼs soon to be famous popcorn. Through his association with Newman, Richard met and worked with the legendary film editor, Dede Allen. For the next 22 years, Richard worked alongside an amazing array of Academy Award winning editors including Stephen Rotter (The Right Stuff), Alan Heim (All That Jazz), Bill Reynolds (The Sting, Sound Of Music) and Dan Hanley and Mike Hill (Apollo 13). Beginning in 1992, Richard joined Ron Howard's editorial team where he worked on all of Howard's films for the next decade, including the groundbreaking Apollo 13. This experience proved to be pivotal as it led to the collaboration with his future partner, Glenn Allen, and triggered his interest in visual effects. Richard then went on to work on several major visual effects pictures, including Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, Brian DePalma's Mission To Mars, and Ron Howard's A Beautiful Mind, (Academy Award - Best Film). As a result of these experiences, Richard embarked on an ambitious project to launch a visual effects company along with his partner Glenn Allen. Brainstorm Digital, created in 2005, has exceeded all expectations. |

Tom Houghton, ASC In 2008 Tom Houghton received an Emmy nomination for his DP work on the critically acclaimed FX television series "Rescue Me" starring Denis Leary, produced by Leary and Peter Tolan. Now in its 5th season, Tom began work on the series in 2004. He was also DP of the CBS series "Love Monkey", starring Tom Cavanagh, "Canterbury's Law" starring Julianna Margulies for Fox Television, and early episodes of NBC's "30 Rock". Tom Houghton's most recent feature film, "Finding Amanda", was written and directed by "Rescue Me" co-creator Peter Tolan, and stars Matthew Broderick, Brittany Snow, Maura Tierney and Steve Coogan. His other DP feature work includes the Warner Bros. release, "Fire Down Below" starring Steven Seagal, Marg Helgenberger, Stephen Lange, Kris Kristofferson and Harry Dean Stanton, directed by Félix Enríquez Alcalá; "The Cookout" starring Danny Glover, Meagan Good, Jenifer Lewis, JaRule and Queen Latifah and "State Property 2" (a Lion's Gate Release) directed by Damon Dash, starring Beanie Siegel, Young Guns, Freeway and Noreaga. Second unit and F/X unit DP work includes: "Spider-Man", "Spider-Man 2", "Godsend" (starring Robert De Niro), "STAY", "Stuart Little 2", "Deeds" and "Path to War", directed by John Frankenheimer. Houghton has photographed a number of independent features and shorts including "By Courier" directed by Peter Riegert, which was nominated for an Academy Award®, and "Jazz Night" directed by Wallis Nicita, starring Beverly D'Angelo and John Heard, which was presented as part of Lifetime Television's Third Annual Women's Film Festival. Houghton has major commercials for Federal Express, AT&T, MCI, Bloomingdales and Coke and has also been a regular contributor to "Saturday Night Live", shooting parody commercials with Jerry Seinfeld, Kelly Ripa and The Olsen Twins. Earlier in his career, he photographed the feature length documentary film "The Beat Generation: An American Dream", with William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg and Gregory Corso, directed by Janet Forman. Houghton's film career began in high school at a local TV station in Redding, California. He attended London's Slade School of Fine Arts and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in film from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. |

Jim Rider, VFX Supervisor/Artist/Lead Compositor, Gravity (formerly Rhino) Jim Rider adds significant talent, depth and firepower to Gravity. An industry veteran with over fifteen years of visual effects experience in a wide range of capacities, he gives Gravity’s feature division depth and dimension. His credits across VFX include extensive motion control, miniature cinematography, compositing, animation, Flame, and digital effects. Rider joined the Gravity team in 2007 to combine his talents in production and post-production in both the commercial and feature arenas. Jim first contributed his expertise to Gravity’s feature projects including “Salt”, “The Other Guys”, “The Reader”, and “Ghost Town”. Currently, he’s VFX supervising Warner Bros.' upcoming films “Arthur” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love”, as well “Adjustment Bureau” for Universal Pictures. Fred Ruckel - Creative Director/Inferno Artist, Stitch Motion Graphics Drawing on over 15 years of creative and technical expertise, Fred is currently Creative Director and Inferno Artist at Stitch Motion Graphics where he is involved in creating commercials, music videos, short films and corporate videos. Concurrently, he is an executive producer at RefineryNYC where he is in production on a show for DIY network; a technology consultant for Gerson Lehrman Group which utilizes his extensive knowledge of technology for investments; and technology advisor and product reviewer for Post Magazine. Westley Sarokin, Co-Head of 2D, The Mill Westley Sarokin is Co-Head of 2D at The Mill NY. Since joining the company in 2005, he has worked on an array of high-profile projects as Lead Flame Artist for brands such as Nike, Cadillac, Mercedes and Budweiser, to note a few, and collaborated with directors ranging from Alejandro González Iñárritu and Frank Budgen to Patrick Daughters, Rupert Sanders and Paul Middleditch. His work earlier this year on Budweiser’s “Bridge”, which ran on the Super Bowl, helped earn the spot a Top Ten ranking in USA Today’s prestigious Ad Meter game roundup. Sarokin also worked on Department of Eagles’ MVA winner, “No One Does It Like You.” Prior to joining The Mill, Sarokin worked at L.A.-based A52, initially on Houdini/Renderman then transitioning to Flame. He shared an Emmy Award as part of A52’s title sequence for HBO’s critically acclaimed series, “Carnivale,” and was part of the team for No Doubt’s VMA winner, “Hey Baby.” Born in L.A., Sarokin graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science and Film. At Berkeley Computer Graphics Lab, he researched image-based lighting, modeling, rendering and human face reflectance. Dan Schrecker, Visual Effects Supervisor, LOOK Effects, Inc. Spearheading LOOK’s East Coast operations in New York, Dan is a classic example of the “go-to” digital guy. Dan was first introduced to LOOK’s vfx capabilities when, as an independent visual effects supervisor, he contracted LOOK to create visual effects for Frida. The success of that collaboration led to a string of shared credits including The Bounty Hunter, Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire, The Fountain, The Producers, The Wrestler, Requiem and the ABC series, “Life on Mars” which he supervised on location in New York City. He is currently overseeing the effects on Black Swan.
Dan’s multi-faceted career started with degrees from Harvard and NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. Since then he’s supervised and created visual effects, designed titles and motion graphics, adding to his expertise in multimedia and interactive formats, traditional cel animation and claymation. Dan’s work has earned Visual Effects Society Nominations for “Frida” (Best Supporting Visual Effects in a Motion Picture, 2002) and “The Fountain” (Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects Driven Motion Picture, 2006. |

| Iain Stasukevich, Journalist Iain is a New York Correspondent for American Cinematographer Magazine, and a producer for the American Cinematographer Podcasts. He studied cinematography and screenwriting at the Academy of Art University until he was hired as a writer at TechTV in 2004. After TechTV merged with Comcast's G4 network Iain left to start as a camera operator at CNN Los Angeles. At the same time, he began volunteering with the ASC in Hollywood, CA, supporting the Society and its members with official functions, as well as preparing the Clubhouse for renovations until his first assignment with the magazine in 2006.
