Jared Abrams Bio

Jared Abrams is a cinematographer based in Hollywood, California. He writes a daily news column for a popular DSLR website, www.cinema5d.com. After many years as a professional camera assistant he switched over to still photography. About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography.

Most recently, he has been consulting Birns and Sawyer Hollywood with their DSLR business. This unique relationship has given him unprecedented access to the entire Canon lineup and all of the other professional support equipment in the motion picture industry to make this new breed of camera cinema friendly.  He is constantly working on new and innovative ways to push the limits of DSLR’s in the professional world of motion picture production.
