Sony Intensive: Sony 35MM Digital Motion Picture Camera Technology, the Evolution of the HDCAM® SR Format

Sony is fully committed to 35MM imager technology, having set the benchmark with the F35. Continuing on from this, Sony has introduced the SRW-9000PL. A cost effective, single piece shoulder mount camcorder incorporating the capabilities of the F35 with the addition of on-board HDCAM® SR recording. In addition, the HDCAM® SR format continues to evolve, with the ability to handle 2K and file based workflow.

This workshop will focus on Sony's 35mm imager technology, the SRW-9000PL 35MM camera and the HDCAM® SR platform.

This intensive will guide you through an introduction to 3D techniques and offer an introduction to the Sony MPE-200 Stereo Image Processor.  Discussion will focus on the use of the Sony’s HDC-P1 camera in a 3D Rig, how to optimally transmit and capture 10bit Stereo Images and offer insights into stereo workflow.  These and many, many more topics will be explored through practical demonstrations.
